LANSING, Mich., April 13, 2018 — Senator Hoon-Yung Hopgood (D–Taylor) and members of the Asian Pacific American (APA) Caucus invite the public to the Asian Pacific American Heritage and Legislative Day at the Michigan Capitol on Wednesday, May 2, 2018.

The event will begin in the Capitol Rotunda at 11 a.m., when Gov. Rick Snyder will deliver the keynote address (invited). Stories by APA ‘dreamers’ and a Pacific Islander dance will also be part of the celebration.

The celebration is being sponsored by the Michigan Asian Pacific American Affairs Commission (MAPAAC), Asian Pacific Islander American Vote-MI, the Office of New Americans, and the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA). All are welcome to attend.
