DEARBORN HEIGHTS – Senator David Knezek (D-Dearborn Heights) issued a video statement today rebuking the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’s (ISIL) listing of the names and addresses of United States military service members and their families on a “Kill List,” including residents in two Michigan communities. Knezek, a former United States Marine and Iraq War veteran, also called on local residents to not let this threat disrupt their way of life. The full video can be seen at, and an excerpt is included below.

“The very reason that our community is being targeted is what makes it so great,” Knezek said. “We are proud to have a diverse population that includes people from all races and religions, including the largest Muslim population in the country. Let’s use this threat to unite our community and remind groups like ISIL what we really stand for here.”
