Pregnancy can be exciting and overwhelming, but no one should have to face it alone.
Senator Stephanie Chang’s new legislation would make it easier for expecting parents to access group-based prenatal care programs like CenteringPregnancy. These programs combine prenatal checkups with childbirth education and group support, helping parents feel connected and informed.

Why does it matter?

Studies show these programs improve outcomes like lowering rates of preterm births, reducing complications, and providing vital support for expecting moms. They also help close racial disparities in maternal health.

Every family deserves this kind of care, and this legislation makes that a reality for more Michiganders.
