FLINT, Michigan — Following today’s announcement by state officials detailing their action plan to address elevated lead levels in Flint’s municipal drinking water, Senate Minority Leader Jim Ananich (D–Flint) issued the following statement:
“Filters and corrosion control additives are first steps, but anything less than an aggressive, comprehensive response is still unacceptable.
“Our top priority remains ensuring Flint families have safe drinking water. I will continue to work to make that happen.”
City of Flint residents looking to obtain a filter should contact the Genesee County Health Department at (810) 257-3158.
The public is strongly urged to visit the Filter Guide on FlintWaterInfo.com for general and purchase information about water filters certified to remove lead, and encouraged to share this information with friends and family members.
