Senate Minority Leader Jim Ananich Statement on Drug and Opioid Abuse Task Force Recommendations

LANSING, Michigan — In response to today’s announcement of recommendations by the Michigan Drug and Opioid Abuse Task Force, Senate Minority Leader and task force member Jim Ananich (D–Flint) released the following statement:

“We can make a real difference in the lives of families devastated by drug abuse. The task force’s recommendations on prevention, treatment, regulation and enforcement will help shape the comprehensive reforms necessary to address this serious crisis. Our challenge now is making sure we continue working in an aggressive, bipartisan way to turn these guidelines into concrete policies that work for Michigan communities.”
