Senate Minority Leader Jim Ananich Statement On Potential Cuts to Flint Funding

LANSING, Mich. — Senate Minority Leader Jim Ananich (DFlint) issued the following statement in response to State Budget Director John Roberts, Jr.’s comments that, in the wake of a budget shortfall, the state would consider cuts to funding for the Flint water crisis:

“Some things should be off the table. State government failed the citizens of Flint and the children of Detroit. It’s absolutely unthinkable that this administration would even consider backing out of the commitment they made to fix the disasters they created – all because they can’t budget properly.”
