Sen. Ananich on report that state knew of PFAS in Flint River prior to water switch

LANSING, Mich. – Today, Senate Minority Leader Jim Ananich (D-Flint) issued the following statement in response to this morning’s MLive report indicating that State of Michigan officials knew of elevated PFAS levels in the Flint River prior it becoming Flint’s water source in 2014:

“This governor has created a culture where keeping him from looking bad is more important than protecting the citizens of our state. It is obviously clear that at no point did the governor’s administration have the faintest concern for the well-being of the residents of my city. They are just not competent enough to govern or caring enough to lead, and the people of Flint continue to suffer because of it.”
