Sen. Ananich on President Trump walking out on infrastructure talks with Democrats

LANSING, Mich. – Today, Senate Minority Leader Jim Ananich (D-Flint) issued the following statement after President Donald Trump cut off infrastructure talks with Democratic leaders:

“Today, this president set up Democratic leaders only to storm out of a meeting about one of our nation’s most pressing issues—infrastructure. We now know that Michigan shouldn’t expect to see real assistance on infrastructure and roads from Washington any time soon. It is solely up to us to fix the roads, and I remind the Republican majority that time is of the essence.”
