Sen. Ananich on another day of Republican games and inaction

LANSING, Mich. – Senate Minority Leader Jim Ananich (D-Flint) issued the following statement after the Legislature again failed to accomplish anything for Michigan families during today’s session:

“Today, the governor announced a plan to provide tuition-free community college and university education for frontline workers, outlined strategies to restart housing and commercial construction, laid out a plan to provide $100 million for childcare so people can get back to work, and is doing a tele-town hall with the disability community.

The Legislature sat in session for six hours and didn’t take one action to help one person.

Everyone in this state seems to be taking COVID-19 seriously except for legislative Republicans.”
