LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Winnie Brinks (D–Grand Rapids) took the oath of office today to serve the citizens of Michigan’s 29th Senate District.

“I am honored to continue to represent the people of West Michigan. This 100th Legislature marks a renewed opportunity to address the issues that matter most to the hardworking families of our district and our state. I remain committed to protecting our drinking water, fighting for our veterans, and ensuring families and seniors have the access they need to quality health care and lifesaving prescription drugs,” Sen. Brinks said.

Sen. Brinks begins her first term in the Michigan Senate with Ramiro Galván as her chief of staff.

The 29th Senate District includes the cities of East Grand Rapids, Grand Rapids, and Lowell, and the townships of Ada, Bowne, Caledonia, Cascade, Grand Rapids and Lowell in Kent County.
