Sen. Cherry Thanks U.S. Rep. Dan Kildee for His Service to Flint, the State and the Country

LANSING, Mich. (Nov. 16, 2023) — With U.S. Rep. Dan Kildee’s (D-Flint) announcement today that he will be stepping down from Congress after this term, Sen. John Cherry (D-Flint) has issued the following statement:

“From fighting for vital infrastructure investments and support for the people of Flint during the water crisis to standing by our autoworkers during the recent strike, Rep. Kildee has been a fierce advocate for his constituents and for Flint, Genesee County, the state and our nation as a whole. I’ve known the Congressman since I was young and I value and honor his commitment to public service. Time and again, Rep. Kildee has delivered for his constituents and his presence in Washington will be missed. On behalf of myself and the people of Genesee County, I want to thank Rep. Kildee for his tremendous service, hard work and significant accomplishments he’s achieved for our community.”
