Sen. Geiss on Gov. Whitmer’s plan to fix broken education system

LANSING, Mich. – State Sen. Erika Geiss (D–Taylor) has issued the following statement on Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s State of the State address, during which she spoke about fixing our broken education system so Michigan can succeed economically.

“Michigan will never be truly competitive in this global economy until we fully fund our schools and give teachers the tools they need. I believe Gov. Whitmer will be able to fix our broken education system, grow our skilled-trades industry, and ensure that every student — no matter where they’re from — is prepared to succeed in today’s global economy.”
