Lawmakers tour Woodhaven High School to get first-hand look at educational opportunities

For the first time in at least the nine years that Matthew Czakjowski has been the principal at Woodhaven High School, no government official has visited the school to take a look at what it has to offer its students.

That changed Friday.

Lt. Gov. Garlin Gilchrist, state Rep. Darrin Camilleri (D-Brownstown Twp.) and state Sen. Erika Geiss (D-Taylor) walked the halls of Woodhaven High School, talking with students and staff and taking in information about the school’s involvement in the Downriver Career Technical Consortium.
