LANSING — Sen. Erika Geiss (D–Taylor) welcomed the Michigan District 5 Little League Juniors baseball team, also known as Taylor Combined, to the Senate floor today, where she presented them with a tribute in recognition of their recent accomplishments in the Junior League World Series.

“I am so proud of the Taylor Combined team’s performance in this year’s Junior World Series. These boys succeeded at becoming the first Taylor team to make the Junior World Series in more than 30 years. They embody our collective fighting spirit and have shown others the best of what we can be when believe in each other and work together.

“These young men should be proud of their accomplishments already, on and off the field. I look forward to their next journey in bringing together different cultures and traditions in the name of friendly competition.”

Taylor Combined advanced to the quarterfinals of the tournament and finished 2-2 in four games.
