That is unacceptable and exactly why my Senate colleagues and I passed the Kids Over Clicks package,\u201d said Sen. <b>Camilleri<\/b>. \u201cWith this legislation,\u00a0we\u2019re\u00a0standing up to massive tech companies and forcing them to put an end to the exploitative, dangerous, addictive feeds they use to keep our kids endlessly scrolling while they make a profit.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\"><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\"><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(70, 120, 134)\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.legislature.mi.gov\/Bills\/Bill?ObjectName=2025-SB-0757\" target=\"_blank\" id=\"OWAd43b61f3-720f-034b-e58a-e54222cdc9b9\" class=\"Hyperlink SCXW228090981 BCX0 OWAAutoLink\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(70, 120, 134)\" title=\"https:\/\/www.legislature.mi.gov\/Bills\/Bill?ObjectName=2025-SB-0757\" data-outlook-id=\"448ae0e3-4c45-4cf6-b18f-66b271c02a6b\"><u>SB 757<\/u><\/a><\/span><span>, the Stop Addictive Feeds Exploitation (SAFE)\u00a0for Kids Act, would prohibit social media platforms from providing addictive, personal data-driven feeds to minors unless parental consent is given.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\"><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\"><span>\u201cLet\u2019s\u00a0be clear: Big Tech\u2019s exploitative and addictive algorithms have created a public health crisis affecting the mental and emotional well-being of an entire generation of our kids. And right now, parents are being asked to fight that battle without the tools they need,\u201d said Sen. <b>Hertel<\/b>. \u201cAll the while, massive tech companies continue to grow their profit at our children\u2019s expense.
