KALAMAZOO — Sen. Sean McCann (D–Kalamazoo) announces the March 1 opening of his district office, making it easier for Kalamazoo County residents to talk one-on-one about issues affecting them and the community.

The location at 315 N. Burdick St., Suite 200, in downtown Kalamazoo is close to public transportation — an important factor in finalizing the location. The office is next door to the 60th District Service Office of Rep. Jon Hoadley.

“I want to make sure my office is as accessible as possible for every person in our district,” Sen. McCann said.

Sen. McCann will hold an open office hour at the office on March 1 from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m., and walk-ins are welcome. The public is invited to stop in any time the office is open.

“Staying connected with people I serve across Kalamazoo County is a top priority for me and making sure constituents can stop in and talk with me closer to home is an important piece of the job,” Sen. McCann said.

Regular office business hours will be Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Constituents may contact local staff by phone at (269) 381-7158.

Jack Levy is Sen. McCann’s district manager and works at the new Kalamazoo office. Levy will directly assist Kalamazoo County residents with everything from state government questions or issues to requests to meet with Sen. McCann. He also serves as a liaison to community groups and events throughout the county.
