Each day, I fight for the priorities and needs of Kalamazoo County residents in the state legislature. Since taking office in 2019, I have heard from thousands of constituents about protecting our drinking water from toxic contaminants and PFAS, fixing our crumbling roads and infrastructure, and investing in our schools.
That’s why I’ve introduced legislation that would strengthen Michigan’s ability to prevent environmental contamination and won critical funding to clean up PFAS and lead in our communities. And, my bill to expand 10-cent bottle deposits to plastic water bottles and other containers would increase recycling and protect the environment. I’ve also introduced legislation that will reduce the corrupting influence of special interest money in our politics. Finally, I will not accept the status quo in our schools and will fight for an education budget that meets our kids’ needs.
More than anything, I want to hear from to you. Your response will help me understand which issues matter most to you today.
