Bay, Midland, Saginaw County Clerks and Saginaw NAACP President will join the event to discuss changes to Michigan’s voting and election laws taking effect in 2024

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. (Dec. 8, 2023) — Sen. Kristen McDonald Rivet (D-Bay City) is holding a town hall on Wednesday, December 13, at 7:00 p.m. at Saginaw Valley State University to discuss changes to Michigan’s voting and election laws taking effect in 2024. 

Michigan Senate Elections and Ethics Committee Chair Sen. Jeremy Moss (D-Southfield) is the featured guest. He’ll join McDonald Rivet in sharing how laws passed in 2023 will improve registration, voting access, election efficiency and security, certification processes and election worker safety. 

County Clerks Vanessa Guerra (Saginaw), Ann Manary (Midland), Katie Zanotti (Bay), and Saginaw NAACP President Terry Pruitt will join as panelists to discuss what the election law changes will look like when fully implemented at the local level and what they mean for our local elected officials and the average voter.
