As other states restrict access to reproductive care and birth control, we’re protecting Michiganders’ "Freedom to Plan." With bipartisan support last week, the Michigan Senate passed legislation to break down financial barriers to FDA-approved over-the-counter oral hormonal contraceptives and emergency contraceptives.

This builds on two years’ worth of efforts led by Michigan Senate Democrats to ensure safe, accessible reproductive care in our state and to empower Michiganders— not politicians— to make decisions about our personal health and future.

This legislation helps bring workers' wages up, and gives local governments the flexibility to set prevailing wages, provide paid leave and other benefits to attract the workers they need.

It continues our work to undo decades of anti-worker policies that have hurt Michigan families and caused huge income gaps between people who do the work and people who profit from the work.

Tried calling but no answer. Please vote NO on Wednesday. Please save our Porcupine Mountains. How could we have jobs and try to keep families in Michigan if our water system becomes polluted from toxic waste?

That was before Lunatic crooked as Democrats like You got a foot hold on this state and the State has gone down hill ever since.

It’s been decades since Michigan increased unemployment benefits. That money helps stabilize Michigan workers and their families while job-searching, and is spent locally. Another long overdue change that will align Michigan with the large majority of other states, and help attract and retain workers, is expanding unemployment insurance eligibility from 20 to 26 weeks, reversing cuts made by the Snyder administration in 2011.

I'm glad to see this legislation advance through both chambers.

Plenty of jobs out there! Your catering to the ones who don't want to work! You're a failure Senator Kristen McDonald Rivet

Increasing unemployment benefits will help attract and retain workers? Is this government math? Same math you used to vote our rights away on HB 5120? You're a bought off fraud Senator Kristen McDonald Rivet
