LANSING, Mich. – State Sen. Mallory McMorrow (D–Royal Oak) today issued the following statement on legislative Republicans’ rejection of Executive Order 2019-2, which ends special interest oversight of polluters:
“As the threat of PFAS and lead looms for more families and communities in Oakland County, it is imperative that we streamline our government to make it more efficient and responsive to the challenges ahead. Lean, efficient government is the very thing asked of us by our residents and business community alike. It’s time we tear down barriers that prevent us from safeguarding the people, families and communities we serve.”
