Screenings and resources available for Michigan seniors, pertinent issues to be addressed
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (October 13, 2023) — Sen. Jeremy Moss (D-Southfield) invites members of the community to attend his Southfield Senior Summit on next Friday, October 20 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Southfield Pavilion at Southfield City Hall.
Over twenty organizations will be onsite to provide community resources to attendees. Among those who will be present are:
- Wayne Health Mobile Unit to provide health screenings, COVID-19 PCR testing, and linkage to care and community services;
- Oakland County Health Department to provide vaccinations; and
- Healing Heart Safety Services to provide free Narcan training.
Light refreshments will be served. All are invited to attend, including local press. A panel of speakers from various public offices, organizations and agencies will be at this event, including special guest Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel.
This is the second of two senior summits Sen. Moss has hosted in District 7 this year.
