Welcome to my monthly e-newsletter!
This e-newsletter aims to keep you updated on the previous month’s activities in the Michigan Senate. It’s an honor to serve as your state senator for the 11th State Senate District, which includes the communities of Farmington, Farmington Hills, Ferndale, Hazel Park, Huntington Woods, Lathrup Village, Madison Heights, Oak Park, Pleasant Ridge City, Royal Oak Township and Southfield.
This summer, I’ve been canvassing door-to-door in our district and meeting with constituents to hear more about what’s going on in their neighborhood. I’ve also been handing out a legislative update, which you can read here,
along with a survey for my constituents to let me know the issues they care about most.
We’ve put this survey online and you can fill it out to let me know what’s most important to our district.
If you should ever need to contact me, don’t hesitate to call my office at (517) 373-7888 or email me at senjmoss@senate.michigan.gov.

Senate Democrats Reintroduce Bills to Protect Voters, Ensure Integrity of Petitions
July 16, 2021
On the heels of the Republican-controlled Legislature passing the Unlock Michigan petition to bypass the governor’s veto, Senate Democrats reintroduced legislation to ensure petition gatherers cannot lie to the public and misrepresent the content of their petitions while collecting the necessary signatures for a ballot proposal.
“Haven’t we had enough of the lies?,” Sen. Jeremy Moss (D-Southfield) said. “A person should be able to grow support for their proposal based on its own merit, not by misrepresenting what the petitions will do. We cannot continue to allow people, like those who worked on the Unlock Michigan campaign, to use lies and manipulation to erode the credibility of the democratic system for the rest of us.”

Moss, Bolden mark ADA anniversary with plan to improve home accessibility
July 26, 2021
To mark the 31st anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Sen. Jeremy Moss (D-Southfield) and Rep. Kyra Bolden (D-Southfield) announced their plan to assist Michiganders who purchase a new residence or retrofit an existing residence to meet accessibility standards needed for those with physical limitations.
“Many existing homes in communities across the state were not built to accommodate those with physical limitations or seniors wishing age in place,” Sen. Moss said. “Costly mobility improvements are often the only way Michigan residents can comfortably stay in their own home. These bills will help lift the financial burden from those seeking to live an independent, accessible life.”
