The bipartisan budget makes significant investments in education, housing, small-business support, healthcare and childcare statewide, as well as funding for a number of projects in Senate District 7 and throughout Oakland County.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically,\u00a0Sen.<b>\u00a0Jeremy Moss<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>(D-Bloomfield)\u00a0spearheaded the investment\u00a0for new public safety infrastructure and equipment in communities throughout the district.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur budget reverses the damage being done by the Trump Administration and implements real solutions on behalf of our communities, ensuring they have what they need to thrive. This balanced, bipartisan budget works to increase avenues for our small businesses, provide more affordable housing, and so much more,\u201d said<span>\u00a0<\/span><b>Sen. Moss.<\/b>\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m\u00a0especially proud to work with our local\u00a0mayors and\u00a0township\u00a0supervisors to meet our needs back home and deliver\u00a0public safety upgrades that will\u00a0keep our communities safe, including\u00a0constructing\u00a0new fire stations throughout our district to replace facilities that are more than 70 years old.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Key investments in\u00a0Fiscal Year 2027\u00a0budget include funding for:<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\" role=\"presentation\"><b>$2,000,000 for Waterford Twp.<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>to\u00a0replace the 73-year-old Fire Station 2 with a modern\u00a0facility.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\" role=\"presentation\"><b>$1,500,000 for Bloomfield Twp.<\/b>\u00a0to\u00a0replace the 70-year-old\u00a0Fire Station 3 with a\u00a0modern\u00a0facility.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\" role=\"presentation\"><b>$450,000\u00a0for\u00a0Auburn Hills<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>to\u00a0purchase\u00a0a\u00a0needed\u00a0advanced life support ambulance.<\/div>\n<div role=\"presentation\"><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">\n<p>\u201cWaterford is grateful to our state legislators for securing funding to support the construction of our new Fire Station 2,\u201d said<span>\u00a0<\/span><b>Anthony Bartolotta,<\/b>\u00a0Waterford Township Supervisor. \u201cFor more than 73 years, the current station has faithfully served our community, but it can no longer adequately support today\u2019s personnel, equipment, and operational demands as the need for emergency services continues to grow. This investment allows us to move forward with a shovel-ready project that will strengthen emergency response capabilities for Waterford residents and the surrounding region for decades to come.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBloomfield Township is very pleased to receive the support from the state as we look to replace Station 3 that is approximately 70 years old and no longer viable given modern fire\/EMS needs,\u201d said<span>\u00a0<\/span><b>Mike McCready<\/b>, Bloomfield Township Supervisor, along with Bloomfield Township Treasurer<span>\u00a0<\/span><b>Michael Schostak<\/b>. \u201cWe appreciate Sen.
