Consent Agreement and Final Order between the EPA and Advanced Disposal
The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Advanced Disposal Service (ADS) have finalized a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) from the violation findings on September 29, 2016. The highlights include:
While it is not notated directly in the CAFO, Nathan Frank, Chief of the Air Enforcement and Compliance Assurance Section, confirmed that ADS has committed to complete the monitor installments by September 26, 2020, and ADS has indicated that they expect the project to be completed before the deadline.
The Arbor Hills Landfill is regulated by the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (formerly the Department of Environmental Quality).
