LANSING, Mich. — State Sen. Dayna Polehanki (D–Livonia) today issued the following statement on Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s State of the State Address and her education agenda:
“Michigan’s broken school funding system has left us facing a literacy crisis and skills gap that is keeping students from success in the classroom and in the workplace. We can change this. I applaud Gov. Whitmer’s commitment to invest in our classrooms, make college affordable and set goals that ensure pathways to a good-paying job. I look forward to working with her administration.”
