LANSING, Mich. (Jan. 11, 2022) — Sen. Sue Shink (D-Northfield Twp.) has issued the following statement after being sworn into office to serve Michigan’s 14th Senate District in the 102nd Michigan Legislature: 

 

“I’m honored to be joining this dedicated group of leaders, and I look forward to working with both sides of the aisle to enact meaningful change for our state,” said Sen. Shink. “Together, I am confident that we are on our way to building healthier, more resilient communities that work for everyone.” 

 

Prior to her election, Sen. Shink served on the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners since 2019, championing the expansion of high-speed broadband to every resident to close the digital divide and expanding physical and mental health services for community members, regardless of their zip code.
