LANSING, Mich. (Jan. 23, 2023) — Sen. Sam Singh (D-East Lansing) issued the following statement after Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s 2023 State of the State address:
“We are in a unique position to reshape Michigan’s future by prioritizing investments in public education, infrastructure and workforce development,” said Sen. Singh. “Approaching economic development with a wider and more holistic lens will create new jobs in high-paying and skilled industries.”
“The Governor’s State of the State address reflected these goals and I look forward to the corresponding budget presentation that will outline the path to successfully position Michigan to be competitive in a rapidly changing global economy.”
