WARREN, Mich. (Jan. 27, 2021) — Sen. Paul Wojno (D–Warren) has issued the following statement on Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s State of the State address tonight that included a commitment to implementing the state’s COVID-19 Recovery Plan, which has a focus on increasing vaccine distribution:
“Michigan has a history of grit, determination, and innovation. While we have so much to be proud of in our fight to end the coronavirus pandemic, we also know there is still much more to be done and that includes making sure those who want the COVID-19 vaccine will be able to get it.
“I will continue to do my part on behalf of the people of Macomb, who sent me to Lansing to be their voice and fight for our seniors and hardworking families, and ask my legislative colleagues on both sides of the aisle to pass my bill that would extend unemployment benefits from 20 to 26 weeks. We’ve all been through a lot of tough times this past year, but I know our future looks bright and we will come out of this stronger than ever.”
