Throughout history, veterans have made tremendous contributions to our country and state. These are individuals who answered the call to serve and sacrificed their safety to defend our ideals of liberty and democracy.

To honor their service to our nation, my colleagues and I have worked to pass legislation and secure investments to uplift veterans across our state and address the challenges facing the veteran community, such as mental health and housing access.

Today and every day, may we continue to honor their legacy and find ways to make Michigan a place veterans can be proud to call home.
