Michigan families deserve affordable, reliable childcare.
I’m proud to see the Michigan Senate pass legislation to make childcare more affordable by expanding and codifying the Tri-Share program, which splits childcare costs between employers, the state, and families. The package also supports childcare providers by tying reimbursement rates to inflation and reducing unnecessary barriers to opening and operating childcare centers.
This is a meaningful step toward helping working families, strengthening our workforce, and ensuring children have access to quality care. Now the legislation moves to the House for consideration.
