LANSING, Mich. (Aug. 9, 2021) — Sens. Stephanie Chang (D-Detroit), Rosemary Bayer (D-Beverly Hills), Adam Hollier (D-Detroit), Jeff Irwin (D-Ann Arbor), and Mallory McMorrow (D-Royal Oak), and Reps. Joe Tate (D-Detroit), Abraham Aiyash (D-Hamtramck), and Kevin Hertel (D-St. Clair Shores), along with Southeast Michigan residents affected by the flooding in June and July, will host a press conference tomorrow at 1 PM to announce their climate resilience plan and a water infrastructure investment in Michigan.
The initiative seeks to help residents who have been dealing with damage caused by extreme climate events, provide funds to upgrade Michigan’s infrastructure, and prepare for future extreme weather crises.
