June is Gun Violence Awareness Month. This month, we honor and remember all victims and survivors of gun violence, especially those affected by the tragedies at Michigan State University, as well as Oxford High School. The effects of gun violence in the United States are pervasive and all-encompassing on every community; in 2023 alone, over 16,000 Americans have already lost their lives to gun violence, including over 100 children under the age of 11.
