As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close, I wanted to share some photos taken at an organization that truly inspires me. Centro Multicultural La Familia in Pontiac is a mission-driven group that provides a number of essential services to the broader community - not only clients of Latin descent. They assist the community in the areas of mental health, advocacy for victims of crime, health education and promotion, and so much more. Today, for instance, they held a health workshop in Madison Heights to screen individuals for common signs of liver issues!! The third photo of this post features one of my favorite murals in Michigan. Last month, I had the pleasure of attending Manno Clothing & Tailoring's ribbon cutting event in Plymouth.
