LANSING, Mich. (Sept. 3, 2021) — Today, Sen. Rosemary Bayer (D-Beverly Hills) issued the following statement in support Oakland University faculty and staff who are on strike while facing pay and other compensation cuts in the new school year:
“Educators at Oakland University have my respect. They’ve worked tirelessly to provide a world-class education to their students during an especially difficult time, and they deserve to have their concerns fully addressed. I remain supportive of their efforts and hope that a resolution can be reached soon to solve these issues.”
