LANSING, Mich. (May 23, 2023) — Sen. Rosemary Bayer (D-West Bloomfield) issued the following statement regarding reports of anti-Semitic flyers being circulated in a Novi neighborhood:
“I’m heartbroken for every resident who came out to their front porch only to be met with messages of conspiracy and hate. People deserve to have the ability to feel safe and live authentically in their own neighborhoods, but the terrible reality is that anti-Semitic incidents are increasing. I’m glad that this situation has been reported to law enforcement and I expect that it will be handled with the seriousness it deserves. Our strength is in our diversity, and I feel sorry for anyone who is so blinded by their own misguided hate that they can’t see that.”
