LANSING, Mich. (Nov. 30, 2023) — Sen. Rosemary Bayer (D-West Bloomfield) issued the following statement to honor the lives lost and impacted by the Oxford High School shooting on November 30, 2021:
“Today marks two years since the tragedy at Oxford High School and I send my love to the families and friends of Hana, Justin, Madisyn and Tate. I stand with my Oxford community and the entire state of Michigan as we continue to grieve the loss of these four remarkable individuals. May we always lean on one another and lead our lives in a way that honors their memory.”
The Oxford Community Schools district held a moment of silence on Thursday, November 30 at 12:51 p.m. Michiganders are encouraged to light a candle or luminary in remembrance this evening at 7:00 pm.
