Last week, the Michigan Senate voted to pass SB 1086, otherwise known as Donna's Law. SB 1086 would allow Michiganders to voluntarily add their names to a temporary or an indefinite do-not-sell list for the purchase of firearms. These lists would be tied to the national background check system to prevent individuals from impulsively purchasing a gun. It would be helpful if, when you update on a piece of legislation, you include where it is in the process. Are these bills now off to the House, or are they headed to the Governor?
