Regardless of all the news here, the Michigan Senate was heroic- here for over 24 hours straight, passing many very important pieces of legislation for the betterment of all Michiganders! Last week, the Michigan Senate voted to pass SB 1086, otherwise known as Donna's Law. SB 1086 would allow Michiganders to voluntarily add their names to a temporary or an indefinite do-not-sell list for the purchase of firearms. These lists would be tied to the national background check system to prevent individuals from impulsively purchasing a gun. It would be helpful if, when you update on a piece of legislation, you include where it is in the process. Are these bills now off to the House, or are they headed to the Governor?
