Smart, energetic leaders will direct Dems’ legislative efforts
LANSING, Mich. (Nov. 16, 2022) – Today, incoming Senate Majority Leader Winnie Brinks (D-Grand Rapids) announced the 2023-2027 Senate Democratic Caucus leadership slate, including the chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee.
The following members will be joining Leader-elect Brinks and Floor Leader-elect Sam Singh (D-East Lansing) in leadership positions:
- Senate Appropriations Chair – Senator-elect Sarah Anthony (D-Lansing)
- President Pro Tempore – Senator Jeremy Moss (D-Southfield)
- Assistant Majority Leader – Senator-elect Darrin Camilleri (D-Trenton)
- Majority Whip – Senator Mallory McMorrow (D-Royal Oak)
- Majority Caucus Chair – Senator Dayna Polehanki (D-Livonia)
- Policy and Steering Chair – Senator Stephanie Chang (D-Detroit)
