Hello Neighbor,
I hope you and your family had a safe and fun Halloween. We’ve accomplished so much in a short amount of time this year, and I appreciate you keeping up to date with our work and staying engaged as we pass meaningful legislation that moves Michigan forward.
We wouldn’t be in this position without the countless conversations we’ve had with constituents since we first took office in January, and I look forward to keeping these dialogues going as we prepare for 2024.
As always, my office is available to answer your questions and provide any assistance that you may need. Please do not hesitate to contact us or call my office at 517-373-7918 if you are in need of help.
In Solidarity,
Darrin Camilleri

Legislative Updates
I was proud to support the Clean Energy Future Plan that passed the Senate last week. This historic legislation would finally bring renewable energy standards to our state, as well as increase energy efficiency requirements and allow the Michigan Public Service Commission to hold our utility providers accountable. It is clear that our state needs to take bold action in order to fight climate change and improve our energy reliability, and the Clean Energy Future Plan will do just that. I look forward to continuing to advocate for this legislation as it awaits a vote in the House of Representatives, and I will continue to keep you updated as we anticipate action on this bill package.
Community Updates
As a member of the Growing Michigan Together Council, I’ve been tasked with exploring ways to keep our neighbors here in Michigan and grow our population for years to come. Last week, I had the privilege to bring fellow council members to Riverview High School and Trenton High School, where we heard from students, educators and community leaders about ways we can grow our state and attract talent to our region. I would like to thank everyone who participated in these productive conversations, and I look forward to continuing these discussions on how to grow our population through improving educational outcomes, job opportunities and housing options.
It was an honor to be joined by Rep. Churches, Mayor DeSana, and other community leaders this Monday as we participated in a ribbon cutting to commemorate the unveiling of “The Dotte” Mural in partnership with the Detroit Institute of Arts. I always enjoy celebrating our artists across Downriver and Western Wayne, and it was great catching up with our Wyandotte leaders as we admired the work of Fel3000ft, a local artist and fellow Downriver resident.
