I want to extend my deepest condolences to the Williams family and the entire City of Romulus, Michigan community as we mourn the sudden passing of Councilwoman Virginia Williams.

She was a force of nature who fought deeply for her community. As I was getting to know Romulus during the Senate campaign, Ms. Williams made sure that I knew about every event — and chances were that the event was put on by her and her community organization. Forgotten Harvest, movies in the park, and trunk or treat were her biggest ways of giving back.

Whether on the picket line with the UAW, in the neighborhood knocking on doors, passing out food to those who need it most, or in the city council chambers, she was a true advocate, a tough as nails fighter, and an organizer who knew her neighbors better than most.

She and I talked just about a week ago and she lifted up her concerns over local sidewalks and the future of the Democratic Party. She was always concerned about community.

We’ll miss you, Ms. Williams. Rest in Power.

She was old school and took care of her community like family. I loved working with her at Forgotten Harvest, helping those in Romulus and beyond who needed it most. Rest in power, my friend. My deepest condolences to her family.

So so sorry to hear she will surely be missed, she was one of God's angels

You know you could work as bipartisanship.

How about an update on the proposed crossing on Allen Road at the tracks

Thank you for all your hard work on our behalf, Darrin.
