Today, we said thank you and so long to our District Special Projects Manager, Terree O'Neil-Darling!
If you've been around Team Camilleri for the last year and a half (but also, for YEARS with all her volunteering), you know how special Terree is to our community. She's the first to step up and solve a problem and always there to make Downriver and Western Wayne County a better place to be.
Terree has been a supporter of mine since I first knocked on her door almost 8 years ago -- I'm so glad we crossed paths. I'm a better public servant because of her.
Help me say THANK YOU to Terree for all her years of hard work and wish her nothing but the best as she takes on a new chapter running a local campaign.
We'll miss you, but you'll always be Team Camilleri! ... See MoreSee Less

I believe all Michigan students should have a school library.
That’s why I’ve been working on my school library bills for over six years — the love of reading should be available to everyone, no matter which school you go to or where you live.
We had our first hearing yesterday and I’m hopeful that we’ll see movement soon!

A library in nearly every Michigan school? Teachers and others tell lawmakers: We like it.

Absolutely every school should have a library, staffed by a certified school librarian. They do so much more than encourage and improve reading skills. Librarians are professionals that are qualified to teach students how to access, evaluate, and effectively use information in a variety of formats. Good luck on this effort, it’s truly worthwhile.
