LANSING, Mich. (Sept. 7, 2021) — Sen. Erika Geiss (D-Taylor) and Rep. Laurie Pohutsky (D-Livonia) will host a virtual press conference tomorrow afternoon at 1:00 p.m. to highlight Senate Bill 70, which — in light of Texas’ abortion ban last week — would repeal an antiquated 1930s state law that criminalizes abortion.

They will discuss the importance of protecting access to women’s health care in Michigan along with Nicole Wells Stallworth, executive director of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan, and Sarah Wallett, M.D., chief medical officer of Planned Parenthood of Michigan.
