I was honored to spend Veterans Day alongside some of our nation’s true patriots at ceremonies throughout our lakeshore community.
Starting the day at the War Memorial in Grosse Pointe, one of the veterans I was humbled to meet was Jim McCloughan — one of only 61 living Congressional Medal of Honor Recipients. During his service as a combat medic in Vietnam, McCloughan repeatedly ran into the kill zone of battle to rescue wounded soldiers despite being injured himself. Their patriotism endures long after their military service ends, and so too should our gratitude and service to them. Every day, may we strive to find ways to repay the debt we owe these patriots. ... See MoreSee Less

And as we continue to receive updates from state and federal agencies about the status of SNAP benefits, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our office if you have questions or need help navigating any changes. ... See MoreSee Less
