Securing the Future of Selfridge
Secured tens of millions of dollars to upgrade the infrastructure at Selfridge and position the base for a future fighter mission. Thanks to these investments, the base has been awarded new refueling and fighter missions, securing the base’s future — while protecting the over $850 million in annual economic activity Selfridge generates.
Building Safe Communities
Championed funding for a new central intake and mental health unit at the Macomb County Jail. Once complete, the new jail is set to become a national model on how to keep our communities safe, while ensuring the needs of our most vulnerable and underserved are met.
Expanding Access to Early Childhood Education
Successfully secured resources for the Lake Shore Early Childhood and Community Center, allowing the school district to expand their early childhood center, while also adding community and adult education spaces.
Nearly $100 Million Secured for Clean Water Infrastructure Projects
In the Michigan Senate, I have the honor of representing the entire United States shoreline of Lake St. Clair. From Grosse Pointe to Harsens Island — Lake St. Clair binds each and every one of our communities together, serving as the foundation of our economy while providing fresh drinking water and unmatched recreational opportunities. Protecting the lake for current and future generations is a responsibility I take seriously.
