Every investment we make in our schools and our students today will pay dividends for decades to come by preparing the next generation with the knowledge and skills they’ll need to thrive in tomorrow’s economy. That’s why, in the 2027 State Budget, I fought to secure funding for projects that help more young learners get the education they need and deserve.

I know many families across our community have been dealing with power outages since Friday’s storms. I have talked directly with constituents experiencing long wait times for restoration. While I am thankful for the men and women working hard to make repairs, we must do better to hold utility companies accountable.
That’s why earlier this year, I introduced legislation to put an end to continuous rate increases and build more accountability for utility companies into the process.
