How do I honor the legacy, courage and victories of the 1937 Flint Sit-Down strikers by fighting for the working people in Michigan every day? By making sure that worker protections were in our clean energy legislation, by fighting for pensions for corrections officers, conservation officers and Capitol Police. By voting to repeal so called “right-to-work” and protecting the right to unionize and bargain on important subjects like health care and staffing. By voting for prevailing wage and worker safety. By holding corporations accountable for the way they treat and pay their workers. By funding public schools, reducing health care costs and protecting our water and air.
