JACKSON, Mich. (August 1, 2025) — Sen. Sue Shink (D-Northfield Twp.) welcomed residents of Michigan’s 14th Senate District to a community ice cream social on Thursday evening at the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center in Jackson. “Spending time and hearing from my constituents is one of the most important parts of my job as a lawmaker, which is why events like last night’s ice cream social are so rewarding,” said Sen. Shink. “The input I receive at these community events helps shape the work I do in Lansing, so I’m grateful to all the engaged community members who came out to make their voices heard.”
During the ice cream social, Sen.
